GIP Dinner

Alot of things to blog.. but the lack of will to do so. haha.. Things like the Suzhou trip when Cenwei and her friends came over, my new cheena brand mp3 etc etc.

Last sat had 书法 lesson at Fudan and GIP dinner in the evening.. Lessons at Fudan finally ended yest! haha.. the last official one will be on 13 june.. and that would be our Graduation Day and my IA would be over the day before by then.. Oh how time flies man..

The 书法 lesson wad quite interesting.. still remember the last time i had such lesson was in prinary school i think? haha.. Ok that wasnt exactly very long ago.. im still young :)

This was our teacher for that day.. and he seems to be quite famous cuz according to him, his works were carved on some big stones in some parts of china..

And can you figure this out??? hahaha.. I wrote one.. nice right!



























Of cuz nice.. cuz its written by the teacher.. hee.. All of us asked him to write our names. Too bad the masterpiece lacked his chop.. if not will certainly worth more. haha!

After the lesson we had GIP Dinner cuz the Prof Er Meng Hwa came over to Shanghai.. And the day before he had went to Beijing to have dinner with the Beijign people too. Was so tired after school but oh well.. Since it was a free dinner.. no harm going also. haha..
























Just before the start of buffet we had already assigned each one to grab for their assigned food and took a lot of food for our table.. haha the rest got jealous and started to copy us..

Oh yah and yesterday we had 包种子 session in Fudan! Quite fun cuz its the first time im making it.. and i loveeeeee to eat them! haha.. Sg's one still nicer though.

This is the first bazhang i attempted.. Looks like samosa! hhaa.. but at least the rice never came out k and the triangle shape is still there.

And after much practice.. the second bazhang was formed! This time round was better.. the samosa had become a pyramid instead! haha.. looks like i still have some talent in it.

The bazhang here not nice one.. they have all kinds of weird flavours.. but is All RICE and little filling. hahaha.. and the rice is tasteless! No flavour one.. Maybe next time i shall make bazhang again.. a super big one with lots lots of shrimp paste and rice like the malay kueh i like to eat. Damn.. y china dun have such thingy!

Boo.. am sick again! Not sick of everything but ish really fell ill. Sorethroat and perhaps a little fever i guess.. Been coming and go for the past months. Sob.. And i suddenly feel broke again. Shall survive on my sweet Yakun kaya toast for the rest of the days till i return.

Time Flies..

9 more working days.. and counting down.

Im officially sick of my work.. but i know im gonna miss it when the day finally comes.

I'm gonna miss the chit chat and stroll around the company everyday with my colleagues after lunch, the steam egg with clams, the humourous "chen xiao chun" lookalike colleague and the mundane bus ride to work everyday... and perhaps the washing of test tubes and routined experiments.

I'm certainly gonna miss the 麻辣粉丝汤 which is superbly nice and unique, the 凉面，臭豆腐， 盖浇饭 and many many more.

Yet, sometimes i'm just sick of all these.

I'm sick of traveling too.. damn.. i think im just sick of EVERYTHING. Just let me nua and rot in my bed.

My colleague once told me to just settle down in Shanghai for good.. Maybe it wasnt a bad idea after all. Females retire at the age of 50 and males at the age of 55.. House and car are two possessions which the guy must have before marriage.. that means the female doesnt have to pay for any! And Shanghai guys treat their girlfriend or wife super duperly good. Hmm.. so many advantages.. maybe i should really just find a China hubby to live with the rest of my life.

Any China man wanna marry meeeee?????

GGRRRRRRR!!!!

It's 8.40am now and i can't believe that im actually blogging right now in my office! But i need to vent my anger off before i explode anytime soon...!

The more i think about the IA appraisal form the more angry i got during the bus journey to work. It might not seem to be a big issue to any of you.. and yes, it might not be a big issue after all. But i just can't take this lying down. And it hurts even more when you expect consolation but all you get is just another stab on your wound.

I think only listening to classical music can calm me down. And yes, it just worked.

China Earthquake

Guess everyone should know by now about the China's earthquake which happened exactly a week ago at Sichuan. Turned on the tv during dinner and every channel is broadcasting the earthquake issue 24hours.. no commercial breaks no programmes.. totally void of entertainment. Even tudou has suspended its service from 19 to 21 May.. to mourn for the dead. In case u all dunno, the whole of China is having a '3min silence' these three consecutive days, 19 to 21 May at 14:28, the time when the earthquake happened.

Was feeling quite sad when they broadcasted the trailer on how China deployed the rescue teams and how badly the whole of Sichuan was affected. Debri all over and everywhere just seemed so unorganised. kinda touched by how the rescue team tried every possible way to pull the survivor out from the pile of debri despite the ongoing 8 days of operation.. Though its only 1 life compared to the 300,000 (and counting) who died.. its certainly a morale booster for them to know that there are still survivors out there.

This Rat year seems to be a bad year for China.. the rumours of linking Olympics which is gonna held on 08082008 8pm and lunar 初八 to all the disasters that had happened: the '842' plate no. bus which caught fire in Shanghai , the earthquake that happened on 5.12 (add up to 8) and at timing 14:28 (includes the number 8 again). All disasters are related to the number 8 which the Chinese thought as auspicious.. hmm i wonder how true it is that 8 brings bad luck to china this year?

Sigh.. nowadays like more and more natural disasters.. Myanmar cyclone and den China's earthquake.. i wonder wad's next. Maybe the world is really coming to an end? Or maybe the wadeva Asteriod will hit Earth soon someday.. and all species will cease. Nothing left.

Hmm.. Life is unpredictable. We should just live and enjoy life to the fullest.. else might not have the second chance again when you wanna do so.

Report Finally Ended!!

YAYYYYY!!! I've finally handed up my 2 chinese essays!! And i'm done with my final IA report too!! Though still need my supervisor to vet thru before submission.. hope she doesn't disapprove my report! Else i'm gonna kill herrrrrrr.. hhaha..

Been so stressed out by that stupid report for the past week.. Can't even have a proper sleeep without thinking about it before sleep and the first thing when i opened my eyes every morning, the report just appear in my mind automatically! Damn it. I dun wan to think of u!! My mind is meant for thinking of other more important and happy stuff..!

Stress + PMS was the ultimatum combo last few days which almost drove me to tears man.. Never been so stressful before.. or perhaps to be exact, is the past 5 mths before.. haha.. and my dear roomie, i think im becoming more and more like u!! I tried crying to relieve some stress.. but ended up falling asleeep. hahahaha!

Anywae, it's finally over!!!!! Hee.. it's finally time to watch my tudou again!

Oh yah went to make a new specs last fri after school! And it was freaking cheap.. only $36 SGD for a plastic frame with thin lens that could easily cost like around $200 SGD in Sg!

Coooool righhhttttt? HAHAHAHAHAHA

This is the one i made la.. my first ever plastic specs in 22 years!

The specs is quite unique though.. black outter rim with pink inner rim.. I think its super nice in my own opinion.. hahaha.. i loveeee my new specssss!!!

I'm recently so addicted to cherry tomatoes! China's cherry tomatoes seem to be more juicy and sweet.. damn.. i think i will miss it when i return back to Sg man. And cherry tomatoes in Sg is soooo ex! :(

Bought this cute thingy near Fudan today.. haha.. it looks so spastic that i can't help but laugh everytime i look at it.

Sooooo ke ai.. bu shi ma? :)

Report Report!

AHHHHHHHH..

Today's already 7 May. 8 more days to finish my final IA report and the assignments from Fudan!! STRESSED.. time no enough!

Somehow i wish time will fly faster though.. cuz by then i would have completed all my report and assignments for sure, and IA coming to an end!! Which means I would have less time left in Shanghai too. Haiz.

But but.. i still look forward to going back home cuz...

... I want to go out..

... I want to go for movies..

... And I want to go for supper toooo.

Very soon i'll be going Hong Kong and back to homeland and yesh.. off to bangkok!!!! :)

Another 55 more days.

Will someone build me a time machine?????
