A Bad Dream

I had a weird and terrible dream last night. Really terrible.. woke up with a confused state of mind and i knew i cried in my dream several times. All because i dreamt that my china colleague (whom i think looks like Chen Xiao Chun) commited suicide.. in front of me somemore.. zzz..

I remembered i was knocked off from work.. he asked me if i wanna join him for dinner, and i agreed. He then drove me to somewhere.. i think it was his house with a big garden. I was looking around in the garden when he called his wife and told her he had put his keys amongst the pebbles in the pond.. and the next moment i knew......

BANG!!

He fired a shot to himself.. and he collapsed onto the floor.

(Ok the funny part comes in here. Normally people would juz aim their heads when they fire a shot right, but he aimed his throat instead. Whats more, he could still stand up after a while.. as if everything was normal. And his wound looks like.. looks like the picture KY posted up on his blog showing the part behind his ear that was kena hit by the paintball. lol.. KY!! I MUST HAVE SEEN YOUR PHOTO DEN GOT THIS NIGHTMARE!!! )

I was already crying by then. I remembered asking someone beside me ( dunno who it was) why he fired at his throat instead of his head.. and the reply was that firing on the throat will not die so fast.. can survive for a while more. Weird right.. machiam need to wait for a few hours den the effect will kick in den die. zzZZz..

And so, my colleague didnt die straight after he fired. He stood up and we continued to walk out to buy our dinner. I could see him starting to deteriorate and couldnt walk straight. I was so scared that i kept crying and ask him why he wanted to do that. But he didnt want to reply me. I pleaded him to go hospital since there was still time to cure.. and his replied was "你知道我在医院躺了三天吗？他们都没办法把我的病治好！" (so i assumed maybe he gotten some terminal disease so commit suicide to take the easy way out ba)

I got more saddened and cried as the thought of him dying soon visited my mind as he was the only person who would initiate to strike a conversation during lunch time.. without him, lunch would be so dead.

We continued to walk towards a car park and that car park seems to be one of those near the old ZHSS. There was a huge crowd over there with teachers and students.. and it seemed that they were there to see his 最后一面.. Weird right.. as if the news of him committing suicide spread damn fast. There was even a stage with singers.. and i still remembered one of the singers sang Leona Lewis's "Run".. hahaha.. For that moment, the role of my colleague in my dream had become my teacher instead.

The next scene happened to be at my house.. apparently i had just returned from the "wake" and it was only the first day im back from Shanghai. I picked up my phone and wanted to make a call.. i dialed '12593 0065.....' and i suddenly remembered im already back in SG.. no longer need to dial '12593' for low calling rate from Shanghai to SG. hahaha..

And then i woke up.

Feeling very confused and started asking myself where i was.. and wondering if everything happened was true.. did my colleague really die??? i turned and saw ZZ. Ok, Thank God it was all a dream.

Everything in the dream felt so true that i was only convinced that it was a dream after i saw my colleague alive and kicking at work today. And it felt strange seeing him again though.

Growing Up

Jas is a pig today. She slept at 1am last night and woke up only at 5.30pm today. Purposely pontanged school just to sleep like there's no tomorrow. Woke up and had her dinner, feeling groggy and is on the bed again while typing this.

Am i dying soon?????

I feel so restless.. and bored. My head feels so heavy. Super nua..

Was browsing thru Facebook and looking at pictures of those old secondary school frens.. and gosh.. everyone has changed so much.. All had become so pretty and dressed up with make up from the tuk tuk face that ive known 7 or 8 years ago. Looking at all these photos only made me realise that we have all grown up.. and no longer the teen we used to be.

My 22nd birthday coming in a few months time.. Oh man.. Time flies.. really literally flies. I dun wanna grow olddddd... i wanna be Forever 21!! hahaha!

不知不觉 the 11th week of my IA had passed.. and it marks the half of my IA. Half more of it to go!! But that also means another 3 more months in Shanghai.. haiz.. Somehow dun feel like leaving this place after adapting to it. I've grown to get used to hearing the cheena-chinese language around me.. The street of market area and roadside stalls selling snacks and stuff..Think i'll not be used to the Rojak language when i get back to Singapore man.

Life is indeed paradoxical. When i was young, i kept wishing i would grow up soon and act and do like an adult cuz their lives seem more interesting and happening. But now, how i wish i can go back to the past thru a time machine.. leading that laidback, carefree and worry-free life. Everyday just play, tv, eat and sleeep.

Perhaps is because all my surrounding frens are graduating or graduated, and very soon, they'll be joining the working force.. Sets me thinking of my future as well. haiz.. I wonder where and what i'll be working as next time.. hmmm... an engineer???? HAHAAHAHA. We shall see then.

Boo boo.. I feel like sleeping again... I need some excitement. Yawns.

OH MY GOD.. my housemate just told us that the condo management had posted a notice to all households that there's recent burglaries and kidnapping and robbery cases in my condo area!! No wonder i saw blood stains in my lift a few weeks ago!! oh my oh my.. my life is in danger!!

Gosh..

I realise it's been almost like 3 weeks since ive last updated my blog?? hahah.. dunno y... dun have the will to blog these days. so tired.. juz feel like nuaing and stop using my brains once i get home. lol.. Work had been pretty taxing and a bit stressful last week cuz the sample products which i conducted experiments on were found to have bacteria!! Dunno issit because of my personal hygiene that caused the contamination or the problem lies with the production side. SOOO.. they gave me lots lots of samples to test everyday to find out which tank is contaminated.. Zzz.. Luckily the problem is solved after they cleaned the tanks thoroughly and further bacteria tests were tested negative. Thank God.

Hmm.. went to Nanjing last last weekend.. Overall it was an okay trip.. cuz the time spent on travelling in the bus was too long.. so we had little time for those attractions. The main highlight was the 温泉 which was damn shiok.. haha.. but i got my foot cut while i accidentally slipped on the hidden step in the pond as well. -.- There also this Turkish Pond that had lots of fishes in it that will come and suck your dead skin.. Ticklish at first but it was quite fun after getting used to it. lol.

Nothing much about Nanjing actually.. The thing which im most excited about shld be the Roller Coaster Ride i took in 珍珠泉. 360 degrees turn!!! First time in my life.. haha.. den again, the 360 degrees turn was no kick leh. lol.. and the whole ride ended in like 1 min? Reminds me of the ride i last took in Malacca with Xiao Lao Gong and Cenwei.. haah..but that was way much more fun and thrilling than this.. shouted the hell out of us. Damn... i wanna go Malacca again.. i wanna eat that spicy Peranakan Laksa again.. Boo.. HHH!! Bring us to your hometown this coming September.. ok ok????

Hmm yah.. been to the 南京大屠杀纪念馆 as well.. seen the 万人坑 whereby all the dead bodies were buried during WW2.. and its really a pile of untouched skeletons lying there. 30000 people were killed then. Besides that.. hmm.. nothing much liao. haha.. Didnt really have enough time to finish exploring too due to time constraint.. a bit wasted.

I love going to school. Not because of the boring china history and politics lesson which i slept in class today, but the travelling to school which made it interesting. haha.. Maybe is cuz my life in Shanghai is too well 'taken care' of.. shutter bus to and fro every weekday and lunch provided.. saved me the hassle of squeezing with the tiongs in public buses or trains and snatching for places to eat during lunch.

Though today's bus ride was quite squeezy.. i'm still quite happy! i get to travel to another part of Shanghai and see a different light of Shanghai! FYI, Fudan uni is quite ulu.. so the environment is quite different from the vicinity in my place. And the streets near Fudan have lots of good and cheap meals! There's a lot of shophouses near Fudan and roadside stalls selling books too! I bought 'Men are from Mars, women are from Venus' last Sunday for only 10rmb!! Can u believe it?? Its only $2 sgd la.. haha.. freaking cheap. Oh well.. its pirated one though. But who cares as long as the content is the same right? Hee..

We had an excursion today to the Shanghai Museum organised by Fudan.. lol..and to my dismay, we had to provide for our own transport to travel in public bus. Zzz.. The Museum was quite well furnished and i was actually quite amazed by those ancient stone sculptures and paintings though. The paintings are damn freaking beautiful! There's one that is stretched for about 10 metres long and the whole painting was filled with EVERY minute details about the life of the commoners in Suchow. Imagine one person is only about the size of 5mm big in the picture.. with details like the expression on the face and even the shades of colours and actions of the person. Machiam printer prints out one lor! I was so amazed by it that i took maybe 15 mins to scrutinise the whole painting sia.

Hmm.. didnt take a photo of it so can't show u all.. But i think this kind of art u shld see it for yourself.. Photos dun do justice to it man.

Went for dinner after the Museum with another household pple and it was quite fun cuz all were full of crap. lol.. Friends making is fun! Beginning to love the life in Shanghai now.. And am quite happy with working now cuz there's finally things for me to fill up my day and relationships with colleagues are getting better. Somemore Shanghai is full of shopping places.. really a shopping paradise. Even when im broke and have nth to buy, just by looking at the colourful running neon lights around the buildings makes me happy. Boo.. I think im gonna miss Shanghai terribly when i return back to Sg.. the friendships made.. the serenity in the morning.. the breathtaking night scenaries.. :(

Oh well.. dun be sad that ive fallen in love with Shanghai and miss me too much though.. lol. I will still return back eventually.. haha. I've already bought my tickets back to Sg and will reach Sg on 2 July in the afternoon from Hong Kong! haha.. and yes.. i'll be touring Hong Kong, and probably Shenzhen and Macau with my bestie Jiahui before i return back. :)

And Jiahui (i mean the 44 Jiahui), i still havent forgotten my 3 metres long banner that u promised before i left! hahha.. i wan to see it in the airport when i come back k. No more excuses that your cat had eaten it or wadsoever. HH and KY please remind your buddy hor! HAHAHAHAHAHA.

Okie.. gonna try out the new moisturising mask that Huishan had recommended.. Hopefully my sensitive skin will react positively to it and not cause any breakout! Hee..

First day at Fudan Universtiy

29 Feb 2008.. the first day of school for me in Fudan University! im such a poor thingy.. Have to work from mondays to thursdays and study every Fridays and alternate Saturdays. Boo.. but studying is fun.. kinda miss NTU sometimes though. lol..

The modules we take are quite sian.. china politics.. mandarin.. chinese caligraphy and dunno wad else.. studying turns me off so never take much notice of it. ahha..

Fudan Uiversity is the top uni in Shanghai wor.. and its ranked third in China i think. Didnt know that Fudan is such a good uni though.. until my boss was surprised when i told her i needa study on Fridays and she went to tell my colleagues during lunch that NTU is so nice to arrange IA company for us and even liased with Fudan to study over there. She was like filled with envious when she told them and everyone's attention was on me during lunch man. hahaha.. I was so paisei and i could do nth but juz sat there and smiled.

Oh well.. i guess Fudan is really hard to get in in Shanghai cuz we talked to some local students in Fudan and found out that there are 100 over universities in Shanghai.. thats like the number of primary schools in Singapore? hhhaa.. And the number of fresh graduates China produces per year is 4 million!! Thats like the population of whole Singapore k!

The president of Fudan told us thought we'll only be studying for half a yr there, we we'll still be part of their alumni after we grad from there! lol.. And YES! I'm proud to be a student of Fudan! Very hard to get in one k.. machiam like the Chinese Harvard.. lol.

The third and fouth person were the students who interacted with us.. and we later found out that they were a couple! haha.. everyday the guy will ride the girl to school from her hostel using her bicyle.. so 甜蜜蜜!!

Fudan has a very big piece of grassland and many students juz sit on the patch of land and chit chat or play sports like rugby! its such a damn nice and relaxing place! Really similar to those Universities in ang moh countries that we always see in movies!! We were so excited when we first saw it and couldnt help ourselves and started snapping pictures right away. lol!

After school we went to a nearby shopping paradise called 五角场 and had our dinner there.. the food was so fantastic! havent had such good pasta fro only 9rmb!! thats less than $2 sgd!!

Was bored after dinner so went to a KTV near our place and sang till 3am. hahaah.. ans shanghai KTV is good and cheap! somemore it only costs us around $10 sgd per person on a Friday night.

Going to sleeep liao.. School tomorrow cuz today's lessons are postponed to tmr as the lecturer is overseas. Damn.. why is the lecturer so 尽责? i wouldnt mind missing a few lessons. Hee..
