Hmm.. so how did u all spend your new year? I bet not as interesting as mine ba. LOL!!
Since everyone is putting fireworks, how can we miss out the funnn??? We bought many many mini fireworks and a huge fireworks that cost us 588rmb man.. but its damn worth it cuz the outcome was reaallyy nice!! The whole firework juz explode above your head and when the sparks fall down, it seemed as if its gonna touch your head! haha.. im serious! we were so freaked out while video-ing halfway and were so helpless but to continue video and exclaim at the same time. Damn funny!
This is how the fireworks mechanism look like!
We also played 鞭炮 before that.. nothing interesting about it though. It's juz freaking loud that almost deafened my ears.. but i guess thats the main purpose of it cuz its supposed to scare away the '年' .. haha we tried to form the string of 鞭炮 into a heart shape thinking that it will be prettier to video when it burns.. den can 顺便 make it as valentines day present. Lol.. but to no avail la.. what we saw was only a messy pile of random explosions. -.-
China kids are so so damnn cute!!!!
Before that we had our 年夜饭 at some restaurant which costs us 300rmb per person! Hmm.. the food was okay only.. not that spectacular though. Oh well.. It was a 13 course dinner and their dishes were a bit different from what we had in Singapore.. mainly cuz they had cold dishes which includes 鸭舌头 and some other funny funny stuff before the main dishes were served.

There's a tv in the room to keep us entertained with all the China broadcasts..
Hee.. juz a few days ago, on monday, my boss treated the whole department to lunch at this nearby restaurant called Mr.Su Seafood Restaurant. Omg the restaurant is freaking nice la.. there's different compartments to let u choose differnt types of cold dish and main dish, and the seafood were all fresh!! There were 7 of us and each were allowed to choose one cold and main dish each.. Obviously i chose the more expensive one as main dish.. lol.. Abalone! But it's canned small abalone la.. and mine wasn't the most expensive one lor. Hee.. My colleagues are getting better already.. some of them are actually quite funny and still 'talkable'. At least that lunch was not a silent lunch. LOL.
Had cotton candy while we were on our way back home after dinner. OMG.. it's really melt totally in your mouth once u put it in!! not like singapore one... melt liao still can feel a lump of sugar one right? ahah.. this is freaking soft and cottony!!

Oh my friends came over to my place to cook last saturday too! Finally had a taste of Singaporean food after being here for a month!! Boo.. only a month and yet i felt like ive been here for monthSSSS. But anyway, the Bak Kut Teh was superbly delicious!! Someone please send me some Bak Kut Teh sachets and Chicken Rice Chilli so ZZ and i can cook when we are sick and tired of Shanghainese food! Poor us.
Hmmm ZZ and i cooked our dinner again juz now! Cuz everyone has either gone back Singapore or has gone to Xi'an this afternoon.. so now only left ZZ and I 二人世界 liao.. A bit pathetic hor.. but it's alright! We going for our Jiangnan trip on 9th! Will be back on the 11th. Gonna go there enjoy the 温泉 and visit some filming sites and caves and water village! Jealous ba??!! Lalalala~
Haha.. the Mee Sua doesnt look very nice.. but tastes nice.. cuz its prepared by the both of us.. not many pple can have the chance to eat one k. lol..
On a side note, it's fun to travel around alone! Especially during train rides.. theres some things which can't be seen in Singapore. There was once i travelled to buy our tour tickets alone and it was quite late when i return home, so the train platform was quite empty when i was waiting for the train. When the train approached and stopped at the platform, i saw 2 guys coming out from the front of the train and stood side by side, making sure that all the commuters had gone into the train before pressing a button to close the doors. And they did that for every stop. Omg.. I was a bit shocked to see that actually. haha.. In singapore where got such things one.. LRT dun even have a driver! Maybe China has too big a population.. thats why need to create such jobs to increase employment rate.
Another uncommon thing that i experienced during the train ride is that there were actually pple selling stuff in the train! Some were selling Shanghai maps, some selling newspapers, some selling cute little keychains etc. Dun be surprised if u see beggers begging for money inside the train too.. i've seen more than once. There was one time i seen a girl together with her toddler brother begging for money in the train.. and 2 uncles were scolding them to ask them get off the train, else they going to report to police. It's kinda sad to see the toddler tugging other pple's shirt and reaching out his hands to beg for money at such young age.. I think he dun even know wad he was doing lor.. maybe he was still thinking its part of 'playing' cuz he kinda looked happy while begging for money.
Beggers in China are worse off that what we see in Singapore.. I've seen a handicapped and dirty begger lying on the road begging for money, TOPLESS. Somemore he was still begging the cold cold weather.. wa so ke lian. There's another begger with whole head of long white hair too.. Classic man.
It's kinda sinful to see pple begging for money to survive while u are either on your way to enjoy a sumptuous meal or on your way to a shopping spree.. feeling kind of 心酸.
Ok ok.. i shall buy less clothes from now on.
